NeuralStar to Further Support Disaster Relief and the Global War on Terror Agreement with SYS is Latest Milestone for NeuralStar 8.0 among Military Network Managers Reston, Virginia – June 19, 2006. Ai Metrix announced today that its NeuralStar network management platform will join another front in the global war on terrorism through a new deal with San Diego-based SYS Technologies (SYS). The technology integration agreement is just one of several advances for NeuralStar in defense applications since the recent release of Version 8.0. NeuralStar is already deployed as the network management solution behind the INMS, JNMS, Ballistic Missile Defense and numerous other defense installations. As part of the SYS agreement, NeuralStar 8.0 will be used to extend the reach of SYS’s The Assessment Profile System (TAPS) product by supplying network performance and fault information to TAPS. Used particularly in disaster relief management and terrorist event awareness applications, TAPS provides decision support for relevant Effects-Based Operations from a web-centric environment. Representatives from SYS will be available to show the TAPS product in the Ai Metrix booth (Booth # 218) at AFCEA’s TechNet International 2006 conference at the Washington, DC Convention Center, June 19-20, 2006. The SYS agreement is one in a series of recent events testifying to NeuralStar’s momentum in defense-related applications since its Version 8.0 release. Among new customers, for example, the Mississippi Army National Guard (MSARNG) has selected NeuralStar 8.0 to provide the necessary network visibility, event resolution and network availability needed to manage its 120 state-wide network sites. MSARNG required the ability to manage forward deployed forces around the state during crisis like Hurricane Katrina, as well as on-going routine operations. In addition, current users, including the Defense Intelligence Services Agency (DISA) are upgrading to NeuralStar 8.0 and its “one look” interface which provides unprecedented power for monitoring, visualizing and controlling complex, converged networks running net-centric applications. NeuralStar has served as the primary software component for DISA’s Integrated Network Management System (INMS) since 1999. DISA’s Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) includes 14 secured and un-secured networks and related services, comprised of over 100,000 related devices. The Ballistic Missile Defense Agency has also upgraded to NeuralStar 8.0 in all of its operational units for the C2BMC application. C2BMC watches for missile launches across the globe and provides a threat analysis to the U.S. and its allies when they occur. NeuralStar is also currently in use in the Joint Task Force’s (JTF) JNMS cross service network management and planning system, where it plans to have NeuralStar 8.0 fully rolled out by the end of the summer. “We are extremely pleased to see how quickly NeuralStar is being embraced by current customers, as well as new users and partners,” commented Phil Carrai, President and CEO of Ai Metrix. “The new interface, in particular, has been welcomed as breaking new ground by network professionals who are faced with the need to quickly find clear information about the health of their increasingly complex network infrastructure. Partners like SYS are helping to bring that clarity of vision to new commands in homeland defense.” About SYS Technologies About NeuralStar and Ai Metrix NeuralStar is scalable from the NOC to the laptop, offering a management platform that has been proven in some of the world's most intensive military and commercial environments, including the U.S. Department of Defense's Ballistic Missile Defense and DISA’s Integrated Network Management System (INMS), the Joint Network Management System (JNMS), Broadwing and Cincinnati Bell.
