NeuralStar Designer®

NeuralStar Designer is a point-and-click development environment that enables any network professional, even those without much programming experience, to easily and quickly adapt an existing NeuralStar Driver, Poller or Workflow or create their own. A process that can take months and hundreds of thousands of dollars with other products can now be accomplished inhouse in a matter of hours or days.

Unlike other products that claim to work in converged networks, normalization of heterogeneous communications happens entirely in NeuralStar’s Abstraction Engine. That means NeuralStar Drivers, Pollers and Workflows can be relatively simple routines, at least in terms of how they operate among different protocols, command structures and vocabularies—the part other products have such a hard time navigating.

NeuralStar Drivers are much like printer drivers, providing a conduit for collecting data and sending commands to an network-connected device, application or service.

NeuralStar Pollers allow you to customize the type or nature of the Enhanced Data collected in NeuralEvents. For example if you have tweaked a device to operate in a certain way or want data that goes beyond the off-the-shelf metrics enabled by the vendor.

NeuralStar Workflows are the procedures and automatic routines you enable in response to events. They can be as simple as sending an alert or as complex as a string of operations that automate activation of services to a new employee.

NeuralStar Designer provides an intuitive interface that lets network engineers and system operators create processes on the fly to control any kind of network device or management system. Control is the key, because these processes support the bi-directional communication that makes NeuralStar a true Integrated Event Resolution (IER) product.
